Paddle Canada

Paddle Canada was originally created in the 1970s to establish a national standard for canoe instruction.  Today It has expanded to include most self propelled recreational paddle sports activities such as sea kayaking, river kayaking and stand up paddleboarding. The primary focus continues to be safe & fun programs for our Instructor Members to deliver to the diverse public that want to get into recreational paddling.  PC’s is financially supported by its Members, 95% of which are Instructor Members along with courses run by members.  Recently we have received some financial support from Transport Canada to deliver even more safety programs to the public.

Paddle Canada is also the producer of the annual Waterwalker Film Festival that many clubs and organizations choose to host locally across Canada.  The Bill Mason Scholarship Award is another project of Paddle Canada's, that provides support to one undergrade university student each year, pursuing studies in the areas of outdoor tourism, recreational, resource or environment.
